<image:title>BLOG - “This is elegant, this is vulgar…” This is narrow minded and mean, actually. - A word on tattoos. I don’t have any, but I do love them on other people. These tattoos, while some people do get them removed, you don’t have to, because they are part of your life story. As an example, David Beckham is covered in tattoos and he looks like a gentleman. Elegance really is an attitude and an “over all” look. It’s not something that can be spoiled by one artistic element of expression. Long nails, tattoos, piercings can often run deep in a persons heritage too. I’m from NewZealand and the Māori culture is famous for its beautiful tattoos that swirl around the body, telling the story of that person, their family, their culture and accentuating the human physique in the most striking way. Many indigenous cultures have tattoos. Having tattoos does not take away elegance. I know these content creators just want to grow their account, but it doesn’t make the world a better place.</image:title>

<image:caption>No, I did not ask my parents, and that’s the wonderful thing about being in a boarding school in a small town. The only people who know what’s going on are the boarding school matrons (who’d pass on quarterly positive reports about you, to make their life easier). I lasted 4 years in boarding school— before constantly running away to be with my boyfriends became too much for the matrons. I then lived much like an international student, staying in the spare room of a local family’s home. As a teen with struggling grades, I was fortunate to be taken out of public school and put into private school. I landed in a different city, where I had a year to clean up my act and get good grades— so I could go to university and get the degree which helped build my career. Isn’t it always the women who are polished as adults, who were reckless in their youths? I know many and am yet to find one without an eyebrow raising story from their teens.</image:caption>

<image:title>BLOG - Fear of Animal Print is Stunting Your Style</image:title>
<image:caption>Jaguar Print: Featuring black rosette spots with thick edges and central black dots, the jaguar print has a storied history dating back to the Mayan civilization. It surged in popularity during the 1970s punk rock movement, adding a rebellious edge to fashion. Leopard Print: The quintessential feline print, leopard patterns consist of rosette spots with thick-edged circles and lighter centres. Popularised in the 1930s by "Tarzan the Apeman," it remains the most beloved animal print. Peacock Print: A rare and enchanting print, peacock patterns boast vibrant, colorful feathers. This print exudes mystery and eccentricity, adorning garments and accessories with its exotic flair. Snake Print: A staple in fashion since the early 1900s, snake print is known for its distinctive pattern on a neutral background. It is primarily utilised for accessories, adding a touch of the wild to bags, belts, and shoes. Tiger Print: Easily identifiable, the tiger print features long, wavy, irregular stripes against an orange backdrop. Since the 1970s, this print has been reimagined in various, often unnatural, colors, maintaining its bold, striking presence. Tortoise Shell Print Renowned for its luxurious appeal since Ancient Greece, tortoise shell print is characterized by its brown-spotted pattern. It is predominantly used for accessories like jewelry, belts, and eyewear, adding a timeless elegance to any ensemble. Zebra Print Gaining popularity in the 1970s amidst a fascination with global cultures, zebra print is a highly graphic pattern. It consists of tightly packed black stripes on a white background, creating a visually arresting look that continues to captivate.</image:caption>

<image:title>BLOG - Fear of Animal Print is Stunting Your Style</image:title>
<image:caption>One of the biggest misconceptions about leopard print is that it can’t be classy. It absolutely can be, in fact it looks classy in a very authentic, and fun way ( as it shows a bit of personality). Still not convinced? Well, here’s a bunch of royals with photo evidence of them wearing leopard print… Including the late Queen and Princess Diana. If you’ve looked at all of those images and you’re still not convinced, well, maybe it’s leopard print specifically that you have an issue with. That’s okay, there are so many types of animal prints that have a similar exotic look. By finding an animal print that you’re attracted to, you’ll help push yourself out of your comfort zone and force yourself to show your personality, your wild side, in a safe, publicly accepted way (no dancing on tables required)! Cheetah Print The epitome of feline elegance, the cheetah print showcases thick, solid black spots interspersed with smaller black dots. Rising to fame in the 1930s with the film "Tarzan the Apeman," this pattern is often regarded as more sophisticated than its leopard counterpart. Cow Print Debuting on the AW18 runways, the cow print features irregular, roundish black shapes on a white backdrop. Its understated charm offers a subtle alternative to the more flamboyant feline and reptilian prints. Crocodile Print Dating back to the 1800s, crocodile print is characterized by small, irregular scales in a distinctive graph-like pattern. Predominantly seen in accessories such as bags, belts, and shoes, it occasionally graces garments with its textured allure.</image:caption>

<image:caption>Christian Dior: Very confusing, but ‘Christian Dior SE’ is the main holding company of LVMH, owning a controlling stake in it (owning 40.9% of its shares and 59.01% of its voting rights). So, while Louis Vuitton doesn't own Christian Dior, they are connected through their parent company, LVMH. (↓- 15.5%) Estee Lauder Group owns: Bobbi Brown, Clinique, M.A.C., Tom Ford Beauty, Le Labo, La Mer, GLAMGLOW and many others. (↓- 44%) Swatch Group owns: Omega, Blancpain, Breguet, Certina, ETA, Glashütte Original, Hamilton, Harry Winston, Longines, Mido, Rado, and Tissot. <image:title>BLOG - What to Expect: The Luxury Recession in 2024</image:title>
<image:caption>For Hermes, I would be surprised if this growth trajectory changes given the popularity of the Kelly and Birkin bag as status symbols due to their scarcity. Remember how in demand Gucci was 3-6 years ago? I remember walking past the store and seeing long lines outside from people dying to get their hands on a belt, t-shirt, loafer or scarf… Well, times have changed for the once ‘it’ brand. Gucci, (where Kering gets around 50% of its sales and more than two-thirds of its profits), saw its revenues drop 18% to $2.2 billion due to a slump in the Asia-Pacific region. Saint Laurent (also owned by Kering) has resulted to dropping their prices on many of their items. So, what does this snapshot gleam for us middle class luxury lovers? I think it’s telling to save our pennies as, demand is lower… And thats when businesses need to pivot in order to get back on track.</image:caption>

<image:caption>Three: Not having an understanding of fabric tags / fabric composition. If you don’t understand fabric tags you will be conned into buying items you think are high quality (due to the brand) and overlook that you are buying plastic. Natural fibres are superior in every clothing type except active wear. Four: Only buying clothes for the current season.I don’t care what season it is, if you find a good item for summer, but it’s currently winter, you should think about buying it. Think strategically about that item over a 5 year period. 6 months is not a long wait in reality!</image:caption>
